Promagnon, Anabolic Steroid cologne

Promagnon is the commercial name given to the oral anabolic steroid chloromethylandrostenediol. Derived from testosterone, this agent is very close in structure to chloromethyltetsosterone and has shown, in animal assays,  to display around  35-50% of the anabolic activity of methyl testosterone, with about 10% of the accompanying androgenic activity.

This was one of the steroid compounds not included in the list of controlled substances when the law on anabolic steroids was written, hence its exclusion. Launched as an over the counter product in 2005 by Peak Performance Laboratories, this steroid was designed by the same person that developed the widely selling designer steroid Halodrol.

This steroid does not have a tendency to convert to estrogen. The attachment of chloro group at carbon 4 inhibits the steroid aromatization and minimises conversion to estrogen. This means that side effects like water retention and fat retention should not be of great concern making this steroid ideal for cutting phases.

When taking any anabolic steroid, particular attention must be paid to the suppression of endogenous testosterone production. A good PCT should be followed to ensure gains are kept after finishing a cycle.

This steroid has since been removed from the market by the manufacturers after fears of action by the FDA. To buy steroids like this, prescriptions are not needed and so there is no guarantees over the quality.
