A former Olympic track coach faces possible prison time after lying to investigators over communications between himself and a known steroid dealer. Trevor Graham, born in Jamaica, will appear in court on Tuesday to face sentencing.
Graham was convicted originally in May where an Illston’s court found him guilty of lying over his communications with a known steroid dealer. Graham claimed that the last contact he had had with Angel Heredia was in 1997, however, prosecutors had evidence presented to the jury detailing numerous phone calls between the two men going into 2000.
Graham has also been accused of supplying anabolic steroids to athletes, including the infamous Marian Jones, which he denies. Prosecutors have since dismissed these claims.
Graham is famous for initiating “the biggest organised bust for steroid use in the history of competitive sports.” After falling out with BALCO president Victor Conte, Graham sent a syringe filled with THG to the anti doping authorities prompting a probe into the steroid.
Sentencing will be carried out on Tuesday and the outcome, at this stage is unknown. One thing we do know is that Pro Anabolic is a legal steroid that will not land anyone in any trouble with the law.
