Halodrol, chemically speaking called chlorodehydromethylandrostenediol is an oral anabolic steroid derived from testosterone. It is essentially a form of Oral Turinabol with minor differences meaning it falls into the ‘grey’ category of a “Prohormone”.
First described only very recently in 2005, this over the counter prohormone saw massive success after its release by Gaspari Nutrition. Reportedly it reached sales in excess on tens of millions of dollars, a lucrative money spinney for Gaspari.
Pressure was put on Gaspari Nutrition in November 2005 when an article was written in the Washington Post with laboratory analysis done on the compound. Soon after this in mid 2006, the manufacturer voluntarily discontinued selling the ’prohormone,’ possibly fearing government sanctions.
This steroid was never approved for use in humans and so there is not a vast amount of research into the compound. We know it is liver toxic and will suppress endogenous testosterone production so there are side effects along with this product.
Legal steroids are the alternative to anabolic steroids for athletes looking to gain muscle and size without putting braking the law and without the risk of potential health problems.
