Durabolin is the commercial name given to the steroid compound nandrolone phenylpropionate. This steroid is an injectable steroid.

This gives Deca-Durabolin the advantage of less frequent injections, one every three weeks compared to one every week with Durabolin.

 

Nandrolone phenylpropionate was first described in 1957 and became a prescription medication short after. Originally it was intended for use in pre and post operative lean mass retention, osteoporosis, advanced breast cancer, treatment of severe trauma and burns, but by the 1970’s the FDA had limited its intended uses in medicine to treatment of advanced breast cancer and osteoporosis.
