Designer Steroids or Anabolic Steroids

This decade has seen a massive rise in so called “designer steroids” on sale as over the counter nutritional supplements.  They are often coined "legal steroids".

The truth is in fact that these OTC nutritional supplements are just as damaging to one’s health as steroids, maybe even more so due to the obscurity  of the labels and detailed information on the steroid.

Most OTC “designer steroids” are labelled in a way to preserve the truth over the ingredients. Most are pre cursers of steroids which mean that they convert to an active steroid one they enter into the bloodstream.

This allows for steroid pre cursors to remain legal due to the fact that they are not specifically steroids and that the steroid that they actually convert to is generally kept a secret. This means that detailed information on the typical side effects and how to tackle them are not made available.

To summarise, “pro steroids”, “designer steroids” and “steroid precursors” are all active steroids that carry the same side effects as the illegal anabolic steroids such as dianabol and deca. The only reason they can be sold is due to a legal loophole as their chemical names are not yet listed as banned substances.
