It is not uncommon for celebrities to have to transform for different movie roles, if it is becoming fat, skinny, toned or muscular every celebrity has done it. Rene Zellweger gained weight for her role in Bridget Jones Diary as well as Charlize Theron in her movie, Monster.

On the other side there are the celebrities that have to bulk up such as Sylvester Stallone in his movies Rocky to Edward Norton in his film American History X.

Arnold Schwarzenegger used steroids to win muscle head competitions and he admitted to using 'roids' in the 1970s for tissue building. He recently stated that he has no regrets about taking steroids as they were new on the market and at this point he as well as others were just experimenting with them. He also pointed out that they were legal at the time.

When it comes to sports celebrities many athletes have been charged with steroidal use such as Marion Jones. She was found guilty of taking designer steroids and was sentenced, resulting in a sporting ban.
