Anabolic Steroids causing Sex Changes

Steroid side effects have been known for years. From the most common and well known effects like acne and testicular shrinkage, to the grey areas such as prostate cancer and liver failure. Everyone knows that steroids can cause damage to the human body.

One rock solid piece of evidence to back this up is the story of  Heidi Krieger. Heidi was the West German Olympic champion in the 1980’s known for her explosive power in the shot putt.  She was given steroids by her coaches throughout her career as performance enhancers.

Now, she looks back at the awards, and claims that they are ‘doping medals’.

Heidi Kreiger, now, Andreas Kreiger after a dramatic sex change operation, blames his coaches for feeding him steroids back in the day.  He claims that he was told that the pills were simple vitamins and minerals, but in actual fact, it was oral Turinabol anabolic steroids.

Steroids, when administered in large quantities over a long period, will lead to an imbalance of testosterone/estrogen in the body. This will result in severe life changing effects as experienced by the former Olympic shot putt champion.
